Day Number 50

Today was the very first time I got to see/hear Jon leading worship for the Kingdom Explorers!!! I was really excited! I didn't have nursery so I decided to go over and check it out! And Of course I took a picture:

The kids were mostly involved (It was one of those days when most of the regular kids weren't there) and there was a lot of action! so I wanted to catch that. Hence the motion blurs. I think it honestly gives the photo life!
Jon did such a good job! I definitly want to catch that worship again!

Day Number 49

I FINALLY got around to doing Bella's 2 year photos today! I am REALY Excited about them! I ended up shooting at my mom's house because we were having a family feast and when we got there the lighting was PERFECT!  I love my mom's house because it has a very country feel but is still in city limits. Imagine how much more convenient it would be if her house were in Grand Prairie instead of Lancaster!
So here's a little peek at what I got!

Yup! That's my soon to be 2 year old! One week from tomorrow! I cannot believe it! Regardless she is my gorgeous little redhead!

She will hate me for this I am sure! But she should know better than to be goofy when I have a camera in hand! I love this girl. She is absolutely one of my favorite 15 year olds in the WHOLE world!
Now it's off to bed for me. Gotta make sure I can get up on time with this whole moving an hour ahead time thing!!

Day Number 48

Today Was an awesome day for my husband! He was working on a job and started talking to the client. During their conversation the topic of Jon leading worship for the children's ministy came up but was not discussed indepth or for a long time.  Later on in the day Jon inquired about some gear the man was selling and asked if he could play with a couple of items during his lunch break. Instead the man said "May the Lord bless you." and handed a Gibson SG (In a hard case) and a Mesa Boogie amp. I am told these together are worth about $2000.
It's always encouraging to see God use someone to bless another.

Thanks for lookin!

Day Number 47

I was at the church tonight, being wednesday night and all, and for the first time on a scheduled night of practices I was there before ANYONE else. So I decided to take a little stroll. It's so peacefull up there. It's one of my absolute favorite places to go and walk or mountain bike or well... just be.
Growing up I was always intimidated buy the towers there. I was afraid that if I came too close to the fence it would electricute me. Why?  I don't know,  perhaps it was the ginormous "Danger! Electric!Keep Out!" signs. But looking at it today I don't know. Still intimidating? Absolutely. But not as daunting I think. It's odd to think that those little power areas are so important to our daily lives.

Neither Jon or I could decide which version we liked better so I went with both.

Day Number 44

After church I made my way along with Bella to find Jon. He leads praise and worchip for our children's ministry. So I knew just where to find him. I dropped Bella off and went to make sure I had cleaned up the nursery, came back to find that Jon had handed our almost2 year old a pair of drumsticks. I found her as shown:

Yep, Thats Jon cleaning up cords in the background.
Thanks for visiting!

Day Number 38

WE had another birthday party today. This one was up on the mountain a.k.a. my church. I got a beautiful Texas sunset photo from the deck. I love it up there. It's so serene and gorgeous.
Its funny, The sun looked so much larger in real life than it does in the photo, It looked oversized.

Day Number 32

Today was a good day. We ended up spending the afternoon with a family from church, good friends from church. The men ended up going to Guitar center to look at gear and us women stayed behind with the kids and watched movies. (I almost fell asleep on the sofa.)
This evening I went and  took care of the nursery for the evening service. My teenage friend Nina stayed in with me. It was plesant. I was able to keep my mind  off of other things for a little while.
Before service started I managed to snag a couple of after dark photos!

I love the look of night shots. They are a fun challenge as well!
Thanks for looking!

Day Number 22

This has been one of my favorite views for as long as I can remember. I took it from my church which happens to be the highest point in Dallas. It's amazing. I love the lake I've been there many times.

I hope you enjoy the view as much as I do!
