Day Number 3

What a beautiful Saturday this is turning out to be! The weather is somewhat warm, well warmer than it's been for a few days now.  We took the kids out to breakfast/brunch and did a little shopping. We were in need of some new dishes so we went to Ross and I got the set I had found when I was there with my friend a couple of weeks ago! I am so excited!
I did have an unexpected find, but there is a little story behind it:
In 2005, my mom owned a tea room called Cameo Rose. It was in the town square of Lancaster, Texas. Not the best place to open a tea room I suppose but It was fun! I learned so much about tea. The different kinds of loose leaf teas and how to steep them.   Next door to Cameo Rose was an antique shop. It was owned by a gentleman named Bob (eek, I think that was his name). He and his wife both worked in the town square and came in regularly to eat, or if it was slow I would deliver their food. When I did deliver their food, I would take a little extra time and  browse around the store. One day I found this awesome Japanese tea pot. It came in a round wicker basket and had two tea cups that matched it. I fell in love with it! I enjoyed making myself a pot of tea and sitting on the sofa and drinking a cup of tea.   We moved to Pennsylvania later that year. Jon myself and our 2 children. We lived there for about two years then moved back to Texas. During that move I lost my precious teapot and I have been looking for a replacement ever since.  It has been 3 years since our return to Texas and the loss of my teapot.
Today during our outing I found a Japanese teapot with 4 teacups for $9. Granted, it is significantly smaller than the one I had. But I am so happy to have found it. I've never seen one at Ross before. There is no lable, no maker's mark. Nothing other than  "made in china" to identify the maker. Odd. I got it home, took it out of it's box. Low and behold not only was it more gorgeous than I first thought, it also had a strainer in it!!! So I can easily use loose leaf teas again! How awesome!
So Day number 3's photo is of my tea pot:

Isn't it gorgeous!??!?!  I think I am in love! Needless to say I washed it and made tea before taking pictures!
