Day Number 82

Easter Egg hunts!!! The greatest holiday tradition for kids, The worst enemy for the parents. Kids hyped up on sugar, bouncing off the walls. A parents patience level declines rapidly on these sugar infested holidays!
Gabe had his school easteregg hunt today. Then a party following the egg hunt. So on top of the tooth decayingly sweet candies that were packed into plastic eggs, my son recieved an even greater amount of sugar rushing cake cookies and other sweets at his class party! YAY! (not)
At least he had a good time!!!

Day Number 68

I was up at the church tonight for nursery and I saw these Irises in bloom and I absolutely needed to go smell them!  My Grandmother used to have so many of these planted in her garden. It's fragrance brings back so many memories of my childhood and of my teenhood! They are just so beautiful!

Maybe it is all of the memories many Easters with a lot of Easter eggs hidden within said gardens, but I associate many spring time flowers with Easter as well.  I used to have a picture of my grandfather helping me find all of the easter eggs and helping me get the ones that were just a little too high up.
Don't be suprised if more pictures of flowers show up on my blog this spring! This seems to be an exceptionally happy season for me this year!
